London Design Week 2025 is taking place between 10 – 14 March, during which George Spencer Designs will be hosting a fascinating talk focusing on the evolution of a true British heritage brand, Gainsborough.
As one of the UK’s last remaining weaving houses, Gainsborough has been producing some of the world’s finest interior furnishing fabrics since 1903 and is the custodian of an incredible archive of over 7,000 fabrics.

During this talk, Commercial Director Frederic Arbaud will take you on a journey through Gainsborough’s archives and explore the brand’s contemporary Sudbury Edit - featuring modern designs that honour the beauty of past periods.
This talk will look at the unique role Gainsborough plays in preserving both Britain’s textile heritage and its future.
