McLaurin & Piercy

Clay McLaurin and Todd Piercy met in 2003. They started Clay McLaurin Studio in 2013 built on their passion for textiles and love of travel. Finding inspiration in Clay’s paintings, their travel and collection of vintage fabrics, Clay McLaurin Studio quickly became a recognizable brand of thoughtful prints and wallcoverings. Todd and Clay legally married in 2019. That same year they purchased LA Mills, a weaver of boutique fabrics, in downtown Los Angeles. The acquisition of a weaving mill personifies their connection to a larger heritage of American weaving and so, a new American brand, McLaurin and Piercy, was born. The signature foundation of prints and wallcoverings, Clay McLaurin Studio, and a new story of wovens created and produced at the very mill they purchased, now live under one brand, McLaurin & Piercy, with the mission to bring American textile craftsmanship to the fore. How textiles are made matters, a guiding principle, is at the core of McLaurin & Piercy. The focus is not just on design but hands-on craftsmanship. To ensure the highest levels of creativity and quality, the design studio is adjacent to the mill, and a walk away from their very own yarn twisting mill. It is this unique combination that allows for endless possibilities and unmatched creativity. The finest American wool, linen and cotton are sourced for the fabrics staying true to the use of natural materials as a core value. Clay and Todd live their life with optimism, hope and gut. McLaurin & Piercy is a personification of these ideals.
